Manic FA success is based on the 4 pillars of DEVELOPMENT
IT’S ALL ABOUT COMMITMENT
Montreal Manic FA is a technical development program that is rooted and founded in soccer. Although unopposed technical exercises can help with overall physical literacy, it is the application of technique to create time and space that creates a successful soccer player.
In other words, we use game-based exercises and small-sided conditioned games to create scenarios that support teaching phases and foundational technical objectives of the program.
Our Soccer Academy is a supplemental training program that is open to male and female players from 6 years old to 17 years old. We are a non-profit, curriculum-based Academy coached by professional specialists.
We understand that players are the ones who are truly in charge of their development. If we can ignite a spark in every player that makes them want to play more soccer and excel academically, then we know we have created the best foundation for development.
Montreal Manic FA covers an age where players have a huge capacity for learning, are highly creative and believe they can accomplish anything. As a result, the methodology used to coach players is positive, free-flowing and built around guided discovery. Montreal FA Manic uses the following coaching models to enhance the learning environment to help players find success at each phase of development and most importantly, to have fun.
Developing Football Actions
Soccer is a complex sport where players must deal with an infinite number of possibilities. Based upon a given situation a player must learn to produce the right action at the right moment in the proper direction with the perfect amount of speed to create more time and space.
Game Based Exercise
To develop technique and football actions, we use game based exercises and small conditioned games to create scenarios that support the phases of development and core learning objectives of the program.
Being in the flow is the ultimate in focused intrinsic motivation. In layman’s terms, being in the flow is when players find themselves in that narrow corridor between boredom and anxiety. There is a fine balance between the challenge of the task and the skills the learner has at his disposal. The flow space is found when there are a minimal number of stoppages and the learner is challenged at simultaneously feels they can achieve success.
Travel and Tournnaments
Montreal Manic FA will also participate in various tournaments across North America and Europe. This will allow all of our players to have exposure on an international level and to give them the opportunity to be considered for US or Europe-based schools and soccer programs, all tying into the Academy’s mission of valuing education and player development.
Montreal Manic FA is open to both male and female players ranging from U08 to U16. Open evaluation camps will be held twice per year (March and August to identify potential candidates for the program, please refer to the Evaluation Camps schedule for accurate dates, times and locations.
